McDonald falls in Claremont Futures final

   Second-seeded Deiton Baughman of Carson, Calif., beat unseeded Mackenzie McDonald of Piedmont in the San Francisco Bay Area 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 on Sunday to win the $10,000 Claremont USTA Pro Classic in Claremont, Calif.
   Neither player had lost a set in four matches entering the final.
   Baughman, 19, improved to 2-0 against McDonald, a 20-year-old junior at UCLA. Baughman won 7-6 (3), 6-0 in the first round of the Costa Mesa (Calif.) Futures in 2013.
   In an all-American doubles final, second-seeded Jean-Yves Aubone and Gonzales Austin edged top-seeded Hunter Nicholas and Junior Alexander Ore 7-5, 3-6 [10-6].
