Rankings mover of the week: CiCi Bellis (way up)

    CiCi Bellis, a 15-year-old amateur from Atherton in the San Francisco Bay Area, skyrocketed 777 places in the world rankings to No. 431 by reaching the second round of the U.S. Open in women's singles.
   Bellis became a national sensation when she stunned 12th-seeded Dominika Cibulkova, the Australian Open runner-up in January, in the first round before losing to Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan.
   Bellis received a wild card into the main draw by winning the USTA Girls 18 National Championships in San Diego last month.
   Even though Bellis lost in the second round of girls singles in the U.S. Open as the top seed, she rose from No. 2 to No. 1 in the world among juniors. 
   Meanwhile, former Stanford star Nicole Gibbs climbed 34 spots to a career-high No. 101 in the women's rankings by advancing to the third round of the U.S. Open.
   Raquel Kops-Jones of San Jose tied her career high of No. 11 in doubles despite losing in the first round at Flushing Meadows with Abigail Spears of San Diego.
