Capitals rally late to stun New York

Mark Knowles and Sam Querrey won 5-0 in the final set as the host Sacramento Capitals stunned Martina Hingis and the New York Sportimes 18-17 Monday night.
New York (3-2) won the first two sets, mixed doubles and women's doubles, to lead 10-6. But the 6-foot-6 Querrey, ranked among the top 20 in the world before undergoing elbow surgery in June 2011, defeated Jesse Witten 5-2 to pull Sacramento within 12-11.
Hingis, formerly ranked No. 1 in singles and doubles, beat Asia Muhammad 5-2 to increase New York's lead to 17-13. Then the 40-year-old Knowles, formerly No. 1 in doubles, and Querrey blitzed Robert Kendrick and Witten.
Querrey was born in San Francisco, and Kendrick hails from Fresno.
After a day off today, Sacramento (4-2) will visit Washington (6-0) on Wednesday in a showdown between the two conference leaders. The match will end the first half of the regular season for both teams.
The Kastles, who won the WTT title last year with a 16-0 record, have a 22-match winning streak dating to July 22, 2010.
